HBOPA Fundraising Calendar 2008-2009
Please Note: When sending in money for a fundraiser, please do not send cash. Only checks are accepted, and they must be made payable to HBOPA (Hampton Band and Orchestra Parents Association). Also, for student fundraisers, in the memo portion of the check, please write your child's name and what the payment is for (ex "Pie Sale") and so that it will be credited to their account. Student fundraisers are optional. We offer a variety of fundraisers to give students an opportunity to earn money to defray the cost of the spring band trip, but you do not have to participate in any of them. Keep in mind that fundraising money cannot be returned under any circumstance. The student fundraisers are an opportunity for band members to earn money for the band trip. An account of each student's fundraiser balance is maintained and posted in the band room. If you would like to find out what your child's student account balance is, contact Kathy Stadler. Neither the trip nor the fundraising is required. You may pay for the entire cost of the trip, if you wish, or you may contribute personal deposits with fundraising profits. Many band members pay for the entire cost of the band trip through fundraising. Band members may not take fundraising money from their student account. General fundraisers support the mission of the Hampton Band and Orchestra Parents Association. Past projects have included an instrument trailer, new drum major platforms, and many other items that support this program.
